The Business

The name “Eden Industries” highlights the company’s mission and philosophy. The ‘Eden’ part of the name comes from the Biblical Garden of Eden, which was the pinnacle of beauty and perfection. It also represents a perfect beginning. This is relevant to Eden Industries, since the Ryan is most inspired by the games of his youth, when gaming began (or at least was very young). Moreover, Eden Industries aspires to make games with great aesthetic appeal.

However, that’s not all Eden Industries is about! The ‘Industries’ part of the name invokes a sense of modernization, industry, and ingenuity. Although Ryan loves the games of his youth, he recognizes that there have been a lot of great advancements and ideas over the years. It’s Eden Industries’ mission to incorporate these concepts into its games in order to infuse its core of fun with full-featured, polished experiences that people have come to enjoy and expect.

MISSION

Eden Industries’ mission is to develop games that combine modern aesthetics with classical gameplay methodologies and can be enjoyed by all ages. They achieve this mission through empowering the creativity and passion of employees and ceaselessly innovating new styles of fun and play.

Ryan’s own personal mission statement and vision for the company, however, is: "The mission of Eden Industries is to be a light for Christ in the video game industry and bring Christian video game creators into the mainstream, as already exists in other entertainment media."

Faith/Leadership

The impact Ryan wants to have on his community is essentially tied to the largest goal mentioned above. He wants to empower and encourage Christian video game developers, while providing a place where relationships with non-Christians can be organically and authentically developed, creating opportunities to share faith. Additionally, Ryan wants the consumer impact of his company to be one of joy and wholesome fun. Further, he hopes that through researching the backgrounds of people who make the games (as consumers are sometimes inclined to do), or press they read about the games, that they will come to either celebrate the work that God is doing in such an important industry (if they are already Christian) or ponder the hearts of the creators and why they follow Christ (if they are not Christian).
